DIY Welding Plans built our own Metal Sheet Brake
Following the Metal Sheet Brake plans posted below on September 16th, and also following the build of a cheap Harbor Freight Metal Sheet Brake, we built our own brake. Our brake turned out very well and I can’t really complain. Sheet metal up to 1/16″ thick by 11″ wide was bent up easily in our new brake. Here I’ll show some pictures of the brake bending some 14 guage diamond plate that was cut to about 4″ wide.
We made it so that it would hook onto a vise. This vise that I used was mounted to a piece of 2" square tubing that hooks into the receiver at the back of the truck.
I hope you have found these pictures useful and inspiring. Now go create your own and send me a picture. Happy Welding!
